Instance Comparison Settings

The instance comparison highlights differences between two Teamscale instances. In these settings, you can specify a percentage deviation in which the difference between two instances for the specific value should not be highlighted as an error.

You can also configure all of these settings using a configuration file.

Instance Comparison Settings for Cloud-Hosted Instances

For instances hosted on our cloud platform, these settings are automatically configured and cannot be changed.

Findings

The acceptable deviation can be defined for all findings or for individual checks or several checks if an ANT pattern is used. For example, the pattern **/Code Clones/** would match all code clone findings.

Metrics

The acceptable deviation can be defined per metric. The same names must be used, which can be seen, for example, in the Metrics Overview Table.

Others

The acceptable deviation can also be defined for test gaps and different log entries.
